Product description
The product is intended to compensate in real time the geometric drifts of machine tools in production. It takes the form of a software that is integrated into computer numerical control of the market. This software includes an algorithm that continuously operates and analyses the status of the machine, more specifically the spindle speed and possibly the axes speed of the machine. Based on a dynamic model of representation, the algorithm calculates in real-time the geometric distortion due to the heating of various mechanical elements and gives some compensation orders to the CNC to correct set-point positions of the machine axes.
The product differs from other existing technologies by the fact that it consists only of a software called "sensorless" (not using sensor). No additional electronic device is necessary for its operation. The heating aspects of a machine causing expansions an distorsions are taken into account in a global way by the implementation of a mathematical model allowing the improvement of the accuracy and the repeatability characteristics of machine tools.
